Debating on: on case mini debate Instructor/commentator: Nicole & Andrew Comments:
- better pick and choose your distinction - so is it that public investment spurs private investment? etc
- better describe your advantage argument once and then for the rest of the presses describe why you outweigh that internal link and/or why you access it

Debating on: T Mini Debate Instructor/commentator: Quigley Comments:
-Over-enunciation drill and being a bit loader would help your 2AC
-I think you could get rid of the "core of the topic" arg in the 2AC, make your standard arguments more offensive
-Good decision-making in the 1AR - if you're going to focus on reasonability, focus as much as possibility on limits link and impact defense AND use the specific discussion of your aff to frame reasonability at the top
-If you're going to have more than one way to win the debate in the 2AR on T, spend as much time as you need on the first way, before you move on to the other way. That is here, do everything you need to do to win reasonability and then explicitly move on to the CI debate. But be very explicit about what you're doing.

Debating on: CP/DA Theory Debate Instructor/commentator: Quigley Comments: -Need to explain why private invest is neeccesary, not just the chilling effect -Choose less args on the theory debate and develop them more, could probably do it with only 4 args -Choose your best args first on the DA, esp the internal link takeouts that you can win independently

Debating on: re-do for practice debates Instructor/commentator: Charles Comments:
- You're going too fast on the overview/first advantage. There's just no way to get all this information, and this is the place you are trying to frame the whole rest of the debate.
- Really, in general, you're going too fast in the whole speech. This is a product, I think, of having over-prepared for a rebuttal re-do. You want to cultivate good habits, which includes speaking persuasively in the 2AR.
- You also really need to vary your vocal tones. The whole speech sounds like a loop of about 7 seconds, rising in pitch and then falling, rising/falling, etc.
- I think you do a good job of proving that the IL to the DA presumes that the uniqueness is false.
- General 2AR advice: you are far too focused on simply responding to everything

Debating on:Practice Debate D Instructor/commentator:Baker Comments:
-good job making choices on the case debate, don't forget to do some impact work on those case pages too though
-relate 2AC solvency deficits made on the cp to specific internal links in the 1AC
-too much time spent on the k, say more with less
-the terrorism add-on is unecessary if you think the strategy is the k
-the focus of your 2AR should be defeating the squo solves arguments and use what you access to weigh against the case turns - think of it as a CP v Case rather than a case turn 2AR
