Very nice job. Great structure for the arguments; very clear.
You should be more confident! You’re doing all the stuff right but it will sound much better if it seems like you believe it.
In terms of content, try to be more specific. You say the aff is different than previous efforts, but how exactly? If you could explain that in more detail, it would be super helpful.

You should start off by extending and explaining your Interpretation argument, rather than reading a new card in the 2NC. You also do a good job of line-by-line (referencing the 2AC's arguments "they say this, we say this") - it helps your stay organized and make sure you answer all of the arguments directly.

Debating on: Theory mini debates Instructor/commentator: Mikaela Comments: Good work. Try to add more content to your speeches -- you make good arguments, but don't spend enough time explaining them or delving into all of the other side's arguments. Good job incorporating side bias arguments! Always include warrants for why something is or is not a voting issue. Also work on including "they say" in reference when you are answering the other team's arguments.

Good 2nc, although you should make more arguments to 50 state fiat.
you do a good job of going line by line on the states cp
the politics da, you lose steam a little, but not bad for your first politics debate!

-good use of previously read evidence - when applying and extending evidence like this though make sure to start with the argument your making rather than the authors name
-for arguments that answer multiple arguments in the 2ac or something that requires explanation but is the most important part of the debate, consider including it in an overview
-don't forget that a lot of the 1ar is giving the 2ar options and planning for the 2nr - make sure to extend whole strategies

Cx of 1ac - try to prepare some questions to be ready for this int he future. Must use all of your time!
used 50 seconds of pre for the 2nc - pretty good!
Your 2nc is good - although mostly cards for the case debate. Make sure you reference which 1nc argument you are talking about more AND let the judge know when you're changing subjects from one advantage to the other.
You do a good job of effectively blowing up some of the arguments to make it sufficiently difficult for the 1ar to come back. A little more explanation would do the same.
2nr
you did a pretty good job of picking some key issues. For your redo please do the following
1. pick one good argument per advantage and talk about it for about a minute. make sure you reference the authors of the cards you read on it before
2. spend about 2 minutes talking about the spending da. explain the story of the da, answer her arguments, and talk about how bad the impact is.
REDO
Airplanes may not be your best answer to congestion - it may be better to go for reasons why HSR is not efficient and so wouldn't solve any of their advantages
Your explanation of China was quite good.
You need to answer all of the arguments from the 1ar on the spending DA

Debating on: Practice Debate B Instructor/commentator: Quigley Comments: -Good job being argumentative in the questions that you're asking, good job referencing specific things from their evidence and using it against them. -Try to focus on the few arguments on the case, extend the evidence that you read in the 1NC first, you are going well at going in the right order of arguments of the 1NC but I'd like to see you engage with their arguments a little more. Less reading, more talking! -In the 2NR, try to pick just one or two arguments on each adv to focus on that you think are the most important or easiest for you to win. I might focus on the China alt cause and the small reduction fail args. I'd like to see you explain a few arguments more. -You don't need to read new (or reread) evidence in the 2NR, instead I want you to just explain the overall story of the DA and build up and explain the evidence that you have already read. Then explain why economic decline outweighs the 1AC, esp the the warming adv.
-Be sure to explicitly kick the CP in the 2NR
